The Kvaser Edge is a highly customizable system platform. Kvaser provides the hardware support and host OS layer, while the customer selects and installs the preferred Linux distribution along with the application and its dependencies. The customer configuration fully defines the factory-reset device behavior.
The Kvaser Edge includes a dedicated Secure Element (NXP SE051C2) that provides strong, hardware-based protection. It securely manages encryption keys and authentication, similar to a TPM. This enhances system security and supports compliance with IEC 62443 and the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
Cable Splitter Edge 1-4, HD26 to 5xDB-9, is a suitable accessory and is sold separately. EAN 73-30130-01688-0.
